It is your legal responsibility to ensure your child comes to school. Expectation is that all pupils have 100% attendance. We closely check the attendance of all our pupils. If your child is not HERE they cannot LEARN.
Please let the school office know if your child is going to be absent as soon as possible. Mill Lane operates a ‘first day response’ system, and telephones parents when their child is absent and the school has not been informed of the reason.

Mill Lane Primary School is proud to be in partnership with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn.
Magic Breakfast provides Mill Lane Primary School with nutritious breakfast food to ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.
Here at Mill Lane Primary School we aim to ensuring no child is too hungry to learn.
Mill Lane Primary School Offer:
- Classroom Breakfast/Bagels
Brief Description: every morning your child will be offered a choice of toast, a bagel, or cereal as well as milk and fruit.
Start time is 8.45am Monday to Friday.
