Teaching Assistant

32.5 hours per week, term time only
Mill Lane Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and committed teaching assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team, to work 1:1 with a Y4 aged child with social communication needs.
The successful candidate is someone who:
- has knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
- can supervise and support pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning
- demonstrates an ability to manage the behaviour of children in a positive and supportive manner
- has a basic awareness of inclusion, especially within a school setting
- has a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team
- has the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative
- is motivated, passionate and reflective about their work
- is willing to engage in a program of professional learning as training will be offered

Mill Lane Primary School are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher who will play a key role in our amazing small nurture class.

Whilst previous experience of working in a SEN environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities, levels of resilience and a willingness to learn, are just as important.
