Hi, I am Rachel Petch and I am the new Parent Support Advisor and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead here at Mill Lane.

I am here to provide support to children and their families to help overcome barriers to learning and resolve attendance issues. I provide emotional support and guidance to both children and adults, and I can support with behaviour and routines. I work with lots of outside agencies, who I can signpost families to for support. I work with staff in school to ensure the safeguarding of all children is a priority. I regularly complete home visits for new starters and for families who need my support.  

I have two young children myself, so I understand the pressures of parenting. I have several years’ experience of working in schools in our local area, as a Teacher and then as a Parent Support Advisor. I am so happy to be part of the Mill Lane team to support your child through their primary years. I look forward to many happy years at Mill Lane, nurturing the children to be the best they can be, and the same for parents.
