SEN Coordinator – Miss Marie Moroz
Miss Moroz has completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator (NASENCO).
All Speech and Language staff are studying for Makaton Sign Language qualification.
Mrs Brophy offer speech and language therapy three days a week.
Parents of children with SEN are consulted about and involved in the education of their children through regular meetings, transition arrangements and written reports.
The views of children are also taken into account when planning for their educational needs.
The Headteacher and Governing Body deal with any suggestions or complaints from parents concerning the provision for their children with special educational needs. The Governing Body involves other bodies including: Health and Social Services, Local Authority Support Services, and voluntary organisations, in meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and in supporting the families of such pupils depending on identified needs.
The school’s arrangements for supporting pupils with special educational needs in a transfer between phases of education or in preparation for adulthood and independent living are set out in the SEN policy.
Equipment and facilities to support children with special educational needs are secure through SEN funding.
