RWI Phonics SoW.
Children should know AT LEAST the following by the end of each term. Whenever possible, children should go further.
Red words MUST be displayed in class and referred to by class teacher. Children should be encouraged to try to use them in any independent writing task. Children should be encouraged to learn how to read these independently and if at all appropriate to spell them.
Year 1 will do additional phonics sessions using PiXL, from October each afternoon. Reception will do additional phonics sessions (using PiXL if appropriate) every afternoon from May.
