Mill Lane School provides breakfast to our children and their siblings to make sure that no child starts school too hungry to learn. We currently offer our breakfast club free of charge knowing that our children can start the day having had a healthy breakfast and time to socialise, meaning that they are emotionally and physically equipped for the day ahead.
It is the schools aim to provide a healthy breakfast for every child as part of our poverty proofing campaign. We are then aware that the children are receiving a healthy start to the day that they may otherwise not have received
Homework support, games and socialising with peers during breakfast club encourages friendships and solid relationships in school. This in turn increases self-esteem and self-confidence within school and a good relationship with teachers and school staff
Breakfast club starts at 8.40 am everyday
